With the success of her current Kapamilya series My Binondo Girl, Kim Chiu feels happy about the strong following the show has garnered after just a short time. “I feel so excited, kinakabahan andnagpapasalamat dahil ang daming positive feedback. My Binondo Girl so sobrangthankful ako and sobrang overwhelmed,” she admitted.
The chinita actress admitted that her love life has taken a backseat for now due to her busy schedule. “Sa ngayon wala talaga. Focus muna ako sa My Binondo Girl. Concentrate muna dun and darating rin tayo diyan,” she added.
Kim also admitted that she has moved on from past heartaches and is genuinely happy with her personal and professional life right now. “Wala na yun. Masaya na tayong lahat ngayon. Siyempre life goes on kaya masaya tayo sa bagong project ko, sa mga kasama ko sa My Binondo Girl kasi supportive sila and ang saya-saya lang naming lahat. Happy set ang My Binondo Girl. Hindi mo mararamdaman ang pagod, yung puyat, yun,” she said.
But this does not mean Kim is not open to having suitors. “Okay naman ako, ready na. Pero sa ngayon focusmuna ako sa trabaho ko and concentrate muna ako sa role ko bilang Jade and Yuan. Matagal na yun,” she added.
When it comes to lessons she has learned from her past, Kim said she has not changed. She said she is still the kind of girl who would choose her heart over mind, regardless of cultural or racial background. Yung mamahalin ako and yung taong mahal ko. Kung Chinese man siya or kung ano man lahi niya, basta yung mahal ako,” she explained.
When asked to react to Gerald Anderson’s statements about how he still feels about her, Kim shyly chose to give a neutral answer. (laughs). Basta kami ni Gerald, ano kami, super good friends kami ngayon, wala kaming problema or kung ano man yung dati. Parang nakalimutan na namin yun. Parang bagong magkaibigan ulit kami, ganun,” she said.
The My Binondo Girl star admitted she is glad that things have smoothed over between her and Gerald because their friendship is an important part of her life ever since their stint on Pinoy Big Brother. Mas marami pang nagli-lift ng spirits ko,” she said.

Vilma Santos excited to start movie with Kim Chiu
MOVIE WITH KIM CHIU.
She's so sweet," sabi niya tungkol kay Kim.
"Ano... nahihiya, e.
SOMETHING NEW.
"Parang masarap paglaruan. Masarap i-prepare.
"E, Chito Roño pa [ang direktor]. Tapos, horror-suspense pa.
"So, exciting, e. Bago. Iyon ang excitement ko—bago.
"I'm really excited with this movie kasi something new to offer.
"So, it's something new, tapos with Kim Chiu pa.
"Maganda 'yong movie.
"And if we will talk about Chito...
"First time daw niya with Direk Chito Roño.
"Which is good, kasi at the end of the day, kaming mga artista naman ang makikinabang diyan, e, di ba?
So, uma-adjust talaga.

John Lloyd Cruz wins the Star Magic Icon Award at the Star Magic Ball 2011
It was another magical night as Star Magic celebrated it’s annual ball at The Peninsula Manila hotel in Makati City last September 3, Saturday. Entering the hotel lobby immediately led you to the event red carpet where the press was eager to take photos of the celebrities in their designer gowns. Early birds for the event included Aaron Villena, Gabby Concepcion and Pokwang. Teen Queens Julia Montes and Kathryn Bernardo looked like princesses in their gowns and were escorted by their Way Back Home co-stars Sam Concepcion and Diego Loyzaga.
Scene stealers for the night included comedienne Kitkat, who lived up to her Fashion Forward award last year by showing up in a white bathing suit-type dress. Yeng Contantino, who channeled a rocker chick vibe in formal wear, had her gown and shoes personalized with metal spikes and a sexy cut-out gown with tulle and plaid cloth. But it was program host Pokwang who could have given Lady Gaga competition with over five gown changes during the course of the evening. The Happy, Yipee, Yehey! host admitted that the reason why she brought such a big wardrobe for the ball was because so many designers lent her their creations and she did not want to disappoint any of them by just choosing one to wear that night.
It was an unexpected treat to see lovely beauties like Heart Evangelista and Gretchen Barretto at the event. The former Kapamilya star admits she misses her Star Magic family and was happy to be a guest at the ball. Jake Cuenca showed up with Lovi Poe in tow. Push.com.ph noticed that the couple were practically inseparable the whole night. When asked to comment about his former girlfriend Melissa Ricks, Jake demurred by saying he would rather concentrate on just enjoying the night and having fun with his fellow artists. Contrary to what was speculated, Melissa Ricks decided not to go dateless that night as she was escorted by her former love team partner Matt Evans. The two admitted that they had recently started communicating and hanging out together more often. Gerald Anderson seemed to enjoy the night hanging out with the guys as he was seen chatting with former PBB-Teens batchmate Fred Payawan and David Chua. Coco Martin, who had reportedly came straight from a taping, skipped the red carpet and arrived right when the program proper began. Another sight to be hold for the evening was a beaming Kristine Hermosa who brought along husband Oyo Sotto. The pretty mestiza showed off her baby bump to the public for the very first time.
John Lloyd Cruz won the prestigious Star Magic Icon award. The heartthrob decided to dedicate his award to Mr. Johnny Manahan whom he regards as the true icon because of Mr. M’s contribution to the Star Magic family through the years. Direk Cathy Garcia-Molina and Zanjoe Marudo were seen cheering for him the loudest when he went to accept his award. Zanjoe Marudo and Bea Alonzo won the Best Dressed Pair award. It was hard not to notice Bea’s sexy Jun-Jun Escario gown. Kim Chiu was awarded the Drop-dead Stunning Beauty award, for she was truly a real-life Barbie doll in a white Francis Libiran gown. The My Binondo Girl star was dateless for the night but made a grand entrance as the last star to walk down the red carpet that night. Jessy Mendiola and Enrique Gil were given the Star Magic Breakout Style award while Diether Ocampo and Maricar Reyes got the Star Magic Most Stylish Male and Female award. Piolo Pascual and KC Concepcion were Star Magic’s Choice Fashionistas. KC thanked her boyfriend for escorting her for the second year in a row to the event. It was no surprise when Enchong Dee and Erich Gonzales won Star Magic’s Favorite Couple for the Night as the Maria la Del Barrio stars definitely looked cute together.
Aside from the funny antics of the program hosts Martin Nievera, Chokoleit and Pokwang, stars like Vhong Navarro and Angelica Panganiban added to the fun by giving hilarious spot on impersonations of Robin Padilla and Kris Aquino respectively. With lively performances by Angeline Quinto, Yeng Constantino, Bugoy Drilon, Marcelito Pomoy, Jovit Baldivino, Erik Santos, Vina Morales, Star Magic teens cotillion and Pilipinas Got Talent finds NeilBeth and Happy Feet, the Star Magic Ball 2011 was definitely one unforgettable night of fun and relaxation for the Kapamilya celebs.
